Location: Home Based, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
We are looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager within the Insurance Market for a leading Insurance provider to service and develop their top Key Accounts in the North. The successful candidate will be accountable for a selection of the most strategically and financially important agency and network relationships.
Your role will be to oversee the relationship by developing strategic and business plans, focusing on new business generation, renewal retention, new product and schemes launches.
Responsibilities:
Undertake regular visits to the key accounts to discuss sales production, renewal retention, and overall relationship profitability and to agree future development plans
Build relationships with the decisions makers in the key accounts
Provide "first line" response to key account enquiries
Produce regular key account reports
Plan and organise appropriate corporate "entertainment" and networking opportunities
Source other income generating opportunities outside of Company core classes through new product ideas and new distribution channels
Keep abreast of all market and industry developments particularly competitor activity and regulatory requirements, feeding back relevant information
Active participation & commitment to Sales Initiatives, Marketing Campaigns & Industry events and other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the Sales and Marketing Manager
Skills:
Broad experience of General Insurance with knowledge of the Commercial market
A driven individual with strong planning and organisational skills
Proven track record of profitable business development and involvement in the setting up and on going development of Delegated Authority schemes
Professional and credible with a thorough knowledge of the UK broker market and issues surrounding the industry
Proven sales, negotiation & presentation skills at a strategic level and the ability to use Management Information to highlight under-performance
