My client is an Innovative and fast growing retail bank unlike any other! Due to recent acquisitions and new product launches they are seeking a Qualified Financial Accountant for the rapidly expanding core finance team based in Norwich.
Responsible for the coordination and production of statutory accounting system and management reporting, this role will report directly to the Finance Manager. The individual will be a key contact in the relationship with external audit.
Specific duties include:
*Statutory Accounts preparation
*Produce accurate reliable and timely reporting of financial information to Shareholders, the Board, other key stakeholders and the wider business
*Identify ways to improve Virgin Moneys P&L - e.g. through challenging items of spend and the business benefit this will generate
*Develop financial reporting to meet the business Management Information requirements
*Coordinate the production of all regulatory filings
*Support the design, implementation and testing of system interfaces affecting the general ledger, and support ongoing reconciliation processes to control those interfaces
Candidate Profile:
*A qualified accountant is essential with proven commercial experience, ideally within Financial Services
*Experience in the application of International Financial Reporting Standards
*Excellent excel spreadsheet skills (working knowledge of Pivot tables and V lookups)
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial issues in a simplified manner
*Excellent attention to detail with the ability to get things right first time
*Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
*Experience in drafting of statutory accounts
