Expanding Investment Management/Hedge Fund seeks to attract a bright ACA Accountant with strong financial analysis, control and some fund accounting skills to support a CFO.
Support the CFO in the acquisition process and SPV set up by assisting in initial subscription and cash up keep and purchase accounting calculation.
Manage complex financial statements
Reconcile the general ledger of funds and SPV entities
Prepare daily product reconciliation of funds and resolve all breaks
Prepare weekly NAV reconciliations
Establish Cash controls and prepare daily cash reconciliation of funds and resolve all breaks
Create and implement process controls around funds, SPV and management company
Assist in implementation of a new financial system
Supervise the preparation of monthly management reports with outside vendor
Implement financial policies and procedures
Establish and maintain cash controls
Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered at administrator and prime broker for funds and SPV entities
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree educated, ACA qualified, or equivalent, with a post-qualified experience, coupled with experience of hedge fund or private equity industry
Experience/understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP and multi currency environments
Be technically competent as you will be dealing with complex structures and accounting issues
Advanced excel skills are required.
