An experienced Paraplanner is required for an established successful practice based in Bishop Auckland. The company deals with HNW and UHNW clients in holistic financial planning and wealth management. You will be working in very prestigious offices in a very pleasant environment with like minded professionals. Your role will be to support the financial advisors by providing paraplanning support.
This role includes dealing with HNW and UHNW clients, working under pressure and to tight deadlines and generally providing technical support. Knowledge of Investments and Pensions is essential preferably you will have previous experience of working within an Independent Financial Advisers. Relevant qualifications essential and can be discussed on application.
First class researching and report writing is a must and relevant qualifications. To produce Suitability Letters following sales made in line with the firms guidelines and procedures. This involves use of the database and meeting notes to gather information on the client, liaising with other members of the client service and advisory team where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
Near Diploma or Diploma with progression towards chartered
3 years minimum experience within the independent sector of the financial services industry.
Good knowledge of all investment, life and pensions products and legislation.
In addition some knowledge of more specialist products (property, film, tax, hedge funds) would be helpful.
Report writing experience.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2000 and above and associated software
Previous experience of 1st Software an advantage
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The key tasks and responsibilities of the role include:
Writing Suitability Letters (post fact find, post sale and/or interim)
Updating Library of Suitability Letter templates and standard generic product templates that can then be used for the benefit of the Firm.
Producing targeted mail shots and letters
Researching new products and analytical tools, evaluation and comparison with current systems with recommendations for changes
Ensure pooling of research and use of common reports and solutions to eliminate duplication
