Financial Services based in Edinburgh has exciting Decision Support vacancies on a fixed term basis for qualified accountants. These roles will be offered for 6-12 months plus. The roles will work in a customer facing area of the Group which offers a range of banking and financial services. The role will involve the following: Act as relationship manager to Senior Business Management Provide support to the business to ensure that performance is communicated effectively Root cause analysis Ensure Senior Business Management are made aware of key issues and opportunities in tackling income/cost/bad debt challenges are achieved Seek opportunities for building strong relationships Develop a good commercial understanding of the business and its drivers Challenge opportunities/threats in light of changing market conditions Proactively influence the strategy with the business and assist in translating this into deliverable actions that are initiated and driven through appropriately Gain access to and expertise in financial and non-financial information to provide effective decision support Ongoing tracking and analysis of existing income & profit initiatives Business support/partnering to appropriate business management/forums Analysis, communication and monitoring of financial performance, including monthly threats/opportunities and action plans to address Quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting Provide support and challenge in the development of Product / Pricing propositions / business cases for new business developments Also ensure appropriate governance, investment appraisal, monitoring and tracking of all initiatives About You: Accountancy qualification (4yrs post qualified) Likely to have experience of multi-functional management team contribution with budget delivery support or to show signs of developing expertise in subsets of Decision Support activities Knowledge of Financial Services a benefit but not a pre-requisite Previous exposure to commercial business operations or is aware of current business issues and able to see relevance to own business area/division For further information please call Suzanne Gilfillan on 0131 270 6610 or email your CV directly
