Montash Associates is currently retained to source an experienced Project Manager to join the Cash Equities Technology Team within a Tier 1 Global Investment Bank. The Cash Equities Technology is one of the largest technology departments in the organisation, and is responsible for delivering a number of key strategic technology initiatives to the bank, as well as maintaining the related technology platforms and infrastructure.
The Cash Equities Front & Middle Office technology team has initiated a large scale, multi-year development programme for Equities trading. This is a great opportunity to join a truly &ldquogreen field&rdquo programme in its early stages, with wide exposure to the business and across a broad range of functional areas.
The PMO / Project Manager fulfills an essential role in the department, and will be require to forge strong relationships with senior business personnel within the front and middle offices as well as with IT peers and colleagues. Acting as the link between several sources of business requirements / priorities and the developments and ensure solutions are flows front to back and a level of understanding with development teams and business requirements / priorities and the development teams and ensure solutions are deployed according to pre agreed plans and timescales.
The ideal Project Manager will have excellent understanding of front to back cash equity flows with particular expertise to front and middle office operations. A proven ability to foster productive relationships with key stakeholders is also essential, with the ability to prioritise, often according to conflicting requirements and timescales. Strong experience of business analysis and project management is required with the skills to identifying and evaluating tactical and strategic technology needs of the business.
Specific skills include Management of multiple and complex projects for the region, experience of implementing structured project management methodologies (e.g. Prince 2) and associated deliverables (e.g. PID), effective management through shifting business priorities, and the ability to clearly define, articulate and adapt project strategy to change in scope.
