A great opportunity for an experienced project accountant with a leading financial services institution. You will be responsible for all the stages in the project life cycle and have the opportunity to work on important change initiatives within the Group which have an impact on financial processes and systems This role would be ideally suited to well organised team player who is prepared to act on their own initiative and is comfortable dealing with people at all levels, both internally and externally
* Will have sole responsibility for delivery on smaller projects
* Represent the needs of the Groups finance community on business-centred projects
* Attend project work package managers meetings
* Responsible for developing new processes and systems to meet critical financial control and reporting needs
* Responsible for the analysis and requirements relating to the accounting from the policy administration system and finance systems resulting from Change Projects
* Liaises closely with accountants across the business to share project or systems information and knowledge
* Provide technical support to BAU teams post implementation
* Preparation of periodic project progress reports, and contribution to Project Steering Committee. Key Personal Criteria Required Essential
* Qualified Accountant
*Financial Services sector expertise
* Excellent organisational, communication and relationship building skills
* Good attention to detail and strong presentational skills
* Drive, ambition and initiative to gain an understanding of the Group and provide a value add service
