My client, one of the leading UK asset management houses with over £40 billion of assets under management, are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join their team in Edinburgh. Reporting directly to the Head of Distribution, the candidate will play a key role in selling the companys range of funds to the retail sector with a focus on the Scottish market. The main responsibilities will include:- Managing the designated territory through the prioritisation of accounts, researching and prospecting- Scheduling meetings and arranging client entertainment etc as appropriate- Contributing to the development and formation of the Retail Funds Sales and Marketing strategy- Managing and delivering against account plans for a specified number of key Distribution accounts- Achieving sales as per agreed targets. Establishing personal and company credibility, identifying appropriate solutions, building client relationships and negotiating/agreeing the sale- Attending at the Retail Funds Sales Meetings and any other meetings as appropriate- Developing and updating investment knowledge of the companys funds and the general investment marketsThe ideal candidate for this position will likely demonstrate the following skills and experiences:- A proven track record in selling a broad range of funds to an intermediary client base in Scotland, including IFAs and the retail sector- A thorough knowledge and understanding of a range of asset classes and of the asset management structure- A background of building and developing relationships with IFAs and retail clients in Scotland- A pre-existing client base of Scottish based intermediaries including IFAs, Life Companies, discretionary accounts and the retail sector- Experience of attending external client meetings, consultant meetings and new business presentationsThis vacancy offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join a well recognised asset management house in the UK.
