The role is to provide in-depth analysis and insight into historic performance, produce Monthly MI packs and KPIs with accompanying commentary.
Role will require a proactive individual, with experience of operating in a change type environment as well as Financial Analysis skills.
Responsibilities:
Working with the business analysis team, take responsibility for the accurate and timely production of historic data required for monthly MI
Analysis of the historic data referred above to ensure completeness and provision of any required insight into trends, account behaviours and other key metrics
Build strong relationships with key partners (Pricing, Commercial Product team, Forecasting team & Project team) to both deliver process as well as overlaps with existing processes
Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements, timelines and data constraints whilst providing support for key project deliverables
Support the Head of Commercial Analytics in building a strong delivery and deputising with the project team as appropriate
Be a change champion - Deliver new process as well as look to improve the efficiency of current processes and data management and seek to implement best practice
Challenge and test out any financial models to ensure the technical accuracy used so that effective analysis takes place for the customer groups supported
Develop, enhance and improve reporting processes and procedures as well as building reporting capability from Group Data Warehouse
Experience and willingness to handle and process large volumes of data, with SQL skills
Advanced Excel modelling skills including the use of VBA. Experience using MS Access would be advantageous
Essential experience:
Accountancy Qualified
Excellent Excel
Experience of SQL
Large data set analysis experience
Financial services sector experience
