Large financial institution seeks to attract an accomplished finance professional with strong finance business partnering, analysis and modelling experience to join a business insights team on a 6 month interim assignment supporting business partnering, forecasting, and the development of commercial analysis.
Review actual performance against budgets and prior periods and investigate variances by engaging relevant team members and business contacts
Assist with forecasting revenue, expenses and FTE over the medium term
Develop reports to track the trends for key financial performance drivers and outcomes
Implement and improve processes to create a more robust MI reporting framework from which the business can assess its performance and strategic direction
Support the Senior UK Business Partner to develop presentations detailing financial performance, investment requirements and potential strategies to a variety of key stakeholders
As a result you will need to demonstrate the ability to think outside of the financial picture when required. Having ideally had exposure of working cross functionally, you will be able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders at a leading level.
Key criteria
-Qualified accountant with extensive commercial experience
-Articulate, highly skilled and insightful in analysing business information in complex business situations
-Able to draw out the key risks and opportunities, and able to summarise these succinctly both verbally and in report format
-A track record of driving continuous improvement
-Excellent communicator - clear and concise so that both finance and non-finance people can understand the issues quickly
-Strong Excel skills
-Strong Financial Modelling Skills
-Good PowerPoint
