We seek three excellent stage managers to join our 20-strong team to manage the on-stage elements of our world record silent disco and world record for the world’s longest ever dance. The position is 16 hours per week through September, extending to full time from 1st to 17th October. The successful candidates can join the Free to Dance team earlier than September if they wish. Throughout the record you will be working on an 8 hour per day rotation with the other Stage Managers.<br />

The position would be ideal for students looking for experience in the area, those looking to expand into the third/charitable sector, or a professional looking with time and expertise to give to an energetic, exciting charity campaign. The successful candidates will work as part of our growing World Record Event team and will be managed by our Artistic Director.<br />
<br />
Free to Dance team volunteers work flexibly across the capital – either at our LearnBurma address Vauxhall/Oval, at home or at a number of public access venues, and all meet together as a team once per week Thursdays, 6.30-8.00pm at the Institute of Education, WC1H 0AL. <br />

Key Responsibilities<br />
<br />
• Helping with strategy and planning.<br />
• Managing the on/off stage flow of performers throughout the event.<br />
• Liaising with key partners responsible for delivering part of the event.<br />
• Helping to recruit participants for the event and supporting them once they’ve registered<br />
• Helping recruit volunteers stewards etc for the event<br />
• Working with Silent Disco Partners to help deliver a particular 4-hour part of the silent disco<br />
• Supporting our Creative Partnerships team to find suitable sponsors for the event<br />
• Supporting the World Record Team<br />
• Supporting any other aspect of the World Record event as required – finance, logistics, partnerships, participants, marketing, press, volunteers, administration<br />
• Keeping track of your own tasks, actions and progress, and reporting this to Ben and the team, in addition to attending weekly team meetings
