The Company
A leading telecommunications company are looking to expand their London-based customer insight marketing team with a Senior Customer Insight Analyst, to provide analytical and strategic support that will be key in driving business development. You will have the opportunity to work in a SAS- and SQL-based team, working with large data sets to provide actionable insight to encourage customer loyalty and targeting strategy, and help to understand customer behaviour.
The Role
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of large customer driven data sets, performing statistical analysis using SAS / SQL for techniques such as segmentation, profiling, propensity modelling, logistic regression etc. Within this data driven enviornment, you will use SAS / SQL -based analysis in order to improve customer loyalty, influencing strategic business decisions. You will also use tools such as SAS, SQL, Excel etc and statistical techniques (such as propensity modelling, customer segmentations, profiling, logistic regression etc) to provide actionable insights and understanding which can be presented to both internal and external parties, including non-technical audiences who may not be familiar with complex SAS / SQL - based tecniques.
As a Senior Insight Analyst, the main area you will have the opportunity to focus on will be customer behaviour; using SAS / SQL to thoroughly analyse large datasets by customer profiling / segmentation and modelling techniques to draw conclusions and provide recommendations to improve loyalty and customer retention. You will use data analysis techniques to understand customer behaviour and trends and make suggestions on how to use this data to target particular consumer groups in order to improve ROI, and will also make recommendations that will increase acquisition rates for new business. As the main point of contact for analytical queries, you must have experience using SAS and SQL for advanced data analysis on large and varied datasets.
The Person
A suitable applicant will have the following experience:
* A degree, or equivalent (2:1 or above) in a numerate subject such as mathematics or statistics
* Experience using SAS / SQL to analyse large and varied datasets, using advanced analysis techniques in SAS including customer profiling / segmentation and propensity modelling within a CRM / customer insight /marketing environment.
* Advanced analytical skills and experience using SAS Base, SAS Stat, SAS Macro and SQL querying, as well as Excel and Access experience.
* Excellent communication skills are necessary as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to present and explain findings to both internal and external parties, including stakeholders and non-technical audiences. You will also have the opportunity to communicate insights and recommendations that will ultimately drive business decisions
