BRC Social Housing are seeking an experienced Investigations Officer to work within Revenues Benefits for our client based in Wiltshire
The main function of this post is to safeguard the housing benefit and council tax benefit scheme by ensuring systems are in place to mitigate against fraud and error in line with the governments commitment to reduce fraud and error in benefits
Your main responsibilities will be
Determine facts of cases by gathering evidence through legal gateways from a range of sources
Prepare files for prosecution and attend Court to represent the client in proceedings in respect of benefit fraud matters including national benefits such as job seekers allowance and income support
Exchange information and work closely with other agencies for the detection and prevention of crime including multi agency fraud drives
Visit customers in their homes to validate their claims for benefit in relation to fraud investigations...
