We are looking to hire initially on a 3 month basis a Systems Accountant for a Large Local Authority in the Northamptonshire area
Key Responsibilities
Investigate and identify revised Chart of Accounts and implement this and associated changes on the Agresso General Ledger
Key Skills
In depth working knowledge of Local Government
In depth knowledge of Agresso its structure and functions and a good practical knowledge of SQL and Excelerator
Knowledge of the accounting and audit framework within which local government operates including CIPFA codes
Knowledge of systems controls including reconciliations and authorisation
Knowledge of financial systems reporting requirements relating to management information
Knowledge of reporting requirements relating to the production of statutory accounts and the production of statutory and nonstatutory returns and grant claims
