A leading opencast mining company seeks to recruit a foreman fitter to work on one of their sites in the East Ayrshire area
Working MondayFriday as a permanent employee you will be on an hourly paid basis with excellent opportunities for overtime
Previous experience as a foreman in open castquarrying would be beneficial
Duties include
Day to day running of mobile plant workforce
Communication with chargehand regarding workloadstaff availability
Ensuring all personnel wearing correct PPE
Ensure all health and safety policies are being followed
Ensuring correct procedures are being followed
Liaising with plant manager GF regarding scheduled work
Control of contractors on site signing inout paperwork
Monthly reconciliations of breakdowns
Handover to nightshiftday shift
Communication with other foreman regarding machine down time scheduled or unplanned
Filling in weekly timesheets
Daily monitoring sheets
Control of oil storesgrease stocks on site
