A quantity surveyor with significant postgraduate experience in the process or oil gas sectors is required to join a North West based private surveying consultancy initially on a sixmonth contract with a view to longterm employment He or she must have had experience of administering contracts and have a sound contractual knowledge In this instance the successful candidate will be working with the ICHEM e contract form and a working understanding of this contract form is desirable though not essential Other forms of contract commonly used are NEC and FIDIC and the quantity surveyor will specifically be responsible for variations programme management payments and final accounts The fiveday working week will be based around an eighthour day 830am to 5 pm with a thirtyminute lunch break and will be based in Manchester The quantity surveyor will also supervise and provide advice to an intermediate quantity surveyor
