Due to an increase in demand our client is looking urgently for an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join their team The role is with a leading UK Building Society based in the North West near to the Lake District
Initially on a 3 month interim contract there is potential for a Permanent role in the future Candidates who do not live in the North West but who are willing to stay and work MondayFriday can be offered living expenses and assistance in finding somehwere to live
The role will be
1 Processing mortgage applications
2 Approval of mortgage applications within defined mandates
3 Chaseups of reference requests and valuations
4 Referral of mortgage applications which fall outside criteria to management insurers etc
5 Despatch of offers of loan
6 Providing progress updates to applicants intermediaries and branches
7 Dealing with enquiries from initial application stage up to and including those relating to the offer of loan
