Our high profile client is looking to recruit a proactive and methodical Compliance Officer reporting to General Counsel
Main duties and responsibilities
Set up information access portal for FOI and DPA requests
Develop process for receiving logging and acknowledging FOI and DPA requests
Develop a basic understanding of what is an FOI request
Draft basic responses based on information commissioner precedents
Brief and liaise with project case officer in order to identify and collate records which are subject to the FOI request
Brief and liaise with legal team General Counsel on more complex aspects of the process for instance the application of exemptions and the need to consult third parties
Manage the timing of the request with the case officer and seek deadline extensions from requester where necessary
