My client is a large Borough Council who are currently recruiting for a Housing Options Officer in Leicestershire on a temporary basis
The main duties of the role are to enhance and improve the councils performance on homelessness prevention and housing options services You will also be required to provide relevant advice to applicants who approach and are experiencing housing difficulties and assist them to sustain their tenancy
You will also
Work closely with Landlords and Letting Agents to make the rent deposit scheme a viable option
Work closely with other agencies to prevent homelessness through partnership working
Provide Housing options to residents in Housing need or who are experiencing financial difficulty
Provide up to date Legal advice
To mediate between Landlord and Tenant to postpone or avoid court action
