NURSE SPECIALIST
Role
Nurse Specialists will work as part of a multidisciplinary team performing NHS Health Checks in community outreach events that increase early identification of cardiovascular disease and other chronic conditions in deprived and hard to reach groups In addition to the responsibilities defined for the role of Nurse Nurse Specialists will provide clinical advice and support to other members of the team
Responsibilities
Answer clinical questions from nurses HCAs and the Service Delivery team
Provide hands on training support to other team members
Review and approve any referrals to Accident Emergency
Complete clinical details of any incident reports
Address any clinical issues raised by members of the commissioning team on site
Identify clinical issues to be escalated during or after the event to the Nursing Services Manager
Identify record training needs amongst the team
