BRC Social housing are seeking an experienced Childrens Support Worker for this full time ongoing temporary position based in Bristol
The main function of this position is to provide the highest possible standard of housing and support service to children and young people experiencing domestic violence
The main responsibilities will include
Coordinate activities
Carry out needs and risk assessments
monitor regularly childrens views regarding the service
Advice and support women with parenting issues
accept referrals from the safe house and resettlement services
You will also be required to ensure that appropriate schoolingnurseries are arranged for the children and liaise with external agencies
It is essential that you have experience of working with children at risk and have an understanding of the impact of domestic violence on children and young people
You must also be prepared to take part in the out of hours rota
