An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Childcare Legal Assistant to work within a Local Authority in the South East of England for a minimum period of 3 months with a strong possibility of extension after this initial period
Applicants must have experience of working as a Childcare Legal Assistant within a Local Authority or a Legal Practice
Day to day duties will include assisting Childcare Solicitors and social workers with child protection matters prior to and during the course of care proceedings It will be beneficial to have a working knowledge of Social Care issues including Interim Care Orders and renewals handling Emergency Protection Orders and undertaking the filing responding to requests for legal services liaising and assisting Counsel preparing routine legal letters and maintaining information and records for the Childcare Team
