My client is now seeking to recruit CNC Programmer Setter to work for a leading engineering support services organisation based in Bristol The appropriate candidate would have good working knowledge of working with Heidenhain and Fanuc on CNC milling and lathes
Responsibilities would include
Create CNC programs for Heidenhain and Fanuc machine tools including identifying tooling work holding requirements tool and jig design
Liaise with projects for design for manufacturing
Programming 10m x 5m size bed Asquith CNC gantry borermilling machine with Heidenhain controls
Programming setting of Hurco CNC controlled vertical milling machines
Identify cost savings delivery and quality improvements within machining and programming activities
Successful candidates will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements
Preferred Skills
Apprenticeship of equivalent with previous experience in off line programming
