Our client based in Harlow are looking to recruit for a Logistics Manager The Logistics Manager will report directly to the Managing Director This is a very demanding environment where the successful candidate should have the ability to quickly become an integral part of the management team
The role of the Logistics Manager will include but not be limited by
Overall Management of all Purchasing functions
Purchasing from Far East suppliers on a back to back basis against customer demand
Maintaining Buffer Stocks for major customers
Working with customer forecast demands
Proactively managing the inventory in line with sales budget and customer demand
Ensuring goods are freighted in the most cost effective manner
Working with Far East suppliers to reduce cost where appropriate
Liaising with Field Sales and Marketing to identify and minimize slow moving stock
Working with all suppliers to achieve service level improvements
