Responsibilities
Manage supplier development and communication
Develop and implement blanket orders or LTAs with key suppliers
Implement a cost review with the supply base
Monitor and report on the movements of material prices to ensure efficient planning of material increase requests from suppliers
Oversee the material scheduling system and all associated forward material planning
Develop strategies to improve negotiate with or replace low performing suppliers
Liaise with shipping agents
Key skills and experience
Purchase Management experience within Medical Devices would be highly advantageous
Understanding global shipping practices and trends
Familiarity with medium to high volume manufacturing engineering principles and mechanisms
Strong negotiating skills
Education
HND Degree or equivalent in a related industrial subject
CIPS Level 3 or higher desirable
