The Account Manager position is a fundamental component of the eBay Seller Operations Department, serving as a primary contact for a portfolio of large and strategically important merchant clients in Europe.

The role provides account management support in two capacities: as a primary contact for an assigned portfolio of 60 - 70 large merchants generating in access of £35,000 GMV per month and as a member of a team of service professionals that is providing support as needed to the team's account assignments. The accountabilities assigned to the incumbent are both individual responsibilities and shared responsibilities as dictated by the department Manager.

Responsibilities:
Provide support as needed for the EU Account Management Team by representing the eBay operational structure, business unit processes and procedures
Perform operational due diligence on the merchant client to identify issues or process modifications required. Document Statement of Work for agreed operational support during client contract life
Drive business growth on eBay of sellers in your portfolio
Provide proactive management of assigned accounts. Outbound calling activities or personal customer visits to provide operational information, product support, feature education and product needs assessment should consume as much as 30 - 50 per cent of daily activities
Position has responsibility for the contractual health and well-being of the client relationships within the eBay merchant portfolio
Establish effective working relationships with other operational departments and leads within the organization to ensure excellent information flow and feedback on of process, policy and product changes that will affect the Strategic Seller segment
Document all communication with accounts, accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure that this communication is being shared with all appropriate internal departments and management
Analyze and understand the client and their business, including future business direction. Incumbent is responsible for cross selling eBay/PayPal product and services to meet share of wallet goals as assigned by the Relationship Manager within the client portfolio
Anticipate and solve all issues including PayPal and Trust & Safety
Requirements:
2+ years related professional experience in the Retail/e-Commerce sectors, preferably within the Retail Fashion, Home & Garden or Car Parts sectors
Direct or Indirect experience in up-selling, cross-selling and consulting services
Experience in analyzing data, trends and client information to identify product or service cross-sale opportunities, prepare reporting or make product or service recommendations.
Direct or Indirect experience in meeting or exceeding a financial target via cross-selling of products or services to an existing client base.
Capacity to develop a clear understanding of strategic vision and translate into solutions and results.
Excellent organizational, communication, influencing & problem-solution skills.
Quality and detailed oriented with the ability to understand the level of detail appropriate for the situation.
Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships.
Must be able to work independently and travel as needed to client sites.
Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through.
Fluency in written & oral English is essential
