Position: Senior Design Manager - Building Services - London Gatwick/ Heathrow

Salary: £40000 - £55000 pa
Blueprint Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced Design Manager for their client, based at Gatwick and Heathrow.
You will ideally come from a Consultancy or Contractor background and have substantial multi-disciplined experience. Previous experience of working on Aviation projects would be desired.
Main roles and responsibilities:
Ensure that design is produced to meet the integrates design, procurement and construction programme
Ensure design detail is fully developed for construction
Ensure that design is fully coordinated between all disciplines and trades
Ensure that the latest specifications and legislation is used on all projects
Contribute to risk and value management
Develop effective relationships with the design consultants
Establish and maintain effective communication between design teams and wider project teams
You will ideally also posses the following skills and attributes:
A relevant degree (or equivalent qualification) within Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Services or Construction Management
Relevant experience in a similar construction-based role
Strong IT skills, especially using Word, Excel, DMS and Autocad.
Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject
Detailed knowledge of regulations and codes of practice
Ability to comfortably interact with clients
A forward and intuitive thinker
