Starting salary Senior Lecturer from £37,012 - £44,166 per annum with progression opportunities to £48,246

The School of Health & Social Care (HSC) is central to this vision and as Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Midwifery you will deliver high academic standards through a fusion of excellent education informed by a credible research profile and significant levels of professional engagement. You will be qualified to Doctorate level or, alternatively be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge through evidence of the development of professional practice at a senior level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 5 years from the date to appointment.
You will help raise the national and international profile of HSC and our midwifery provision, contribute to the growth of the academic community and develop personal areas of scholarship and professional expertise.
You will facilitate learning across the midwifery pre-registration and Continuing Professional Development programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be based at our Portsmouth Campus in HSC at BU and will have opportunities to link with academic colleagues across the School and University in taking forward the research and education agenda.
