My client urgently requires an experienced PurchasingProcurement Manager who is driven and committed and has previous experience of buying steel You will have strong negotiation skills and be motivated by driving down costs on behalf of the company
You will control and plan purchases including onsite support services
The Role
To manage and operate the material element of the business
You will need to identify liaise and negotiate with material suppliers
Manage material stock levels to ensure minimum capital employed
Be responsible for contracted on call requirements from suppliers and review when necessary
Prepare reports for materials team meetings or other performance related meetings when required and identify any risk affects to the project
Be compliant with Special Stock procedures when purchasing materials
Identify confirm demands via MRP and conversion to SAP purchase orders
