Personal Injury Paralegal
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £18,000 - £22,500 + Benefits
We are looking to recruit a Paralegal with a strong background in Personal Injury for one of the South West leading Legal 500 practices. You will be joining an established team that puts emphasis on quality and client care. You will be required to handle complex Injury claims from inception and litigate if required. The successful candidate will need to be able to manage their own caseload with minimal supervision and have the confidence to decide on settlement.
Responsibilities:
Manage a mixed caseload of liability and quantum disputes both pre and post issue
Mixed caseload of fast track and some multi track work with a limited number of non RTA matters
Confident in undertaking Court hearings and to be competent in core legal skills including drafting, negotiation and advocacy
Demonstrate sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
Exposure to non RTA matters and ability to undertake such work
Willingness to undertake development to achieve further or professional qualifications
Handle higher value claims
Ability to hit revenue and cash targets
Skills:
You must have at least 6 months experience of handling a personal injury caseload
Good confident telephone manner
Good communicator in both written and spoken English
Clear understanding of customer requirements and a commitment to customer service
Must demonstrate a proactive approach and consistent attention to detail
An awareness of strategy and tactics in progressing case to trial
Experience of Handling Personal Injury claims within a Legal environment
