Senior Personal Lines Underwriter
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Personal Lines Underwriter for a leading Insurance Provider in the Cardiff area. This is a newly created role whereby you will be involved in the development of new revenue streams for both Motor and Household Insurance market. This role will provide you with the opportunity to be an integral part of the Company and spearhead the department and organisations growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
Ongoing design and development of the business strategy for your areas of responsibility, in accordance with business needs
Ensure respective business areas are managed within budget
Work closely with the board of directors to ensure business initiatives are implemented and executed accurately
Ensure key personnel are in place to achieve the expansion plans of the department
Continue to develop the relationships with Insurers and Underwriters at senior levels
Heavy involvement in new product development of Insurance products with Insurers to be distributed to brokers
Devise clear and appropriate strategies to act on and capitalise on business analysis
Skills:
Exceptionally strong technical understanding of Personal Lines Underwriting
Proven ability to implement and achieve defined business strategies
Excellent supervisory skills
Ability to analyse loss ratios and provide recommendations to insurers accordingly
