Assistant Litigation Executive - Personal Injury
Salary: £23,000 - £37,000
Location: Bristol

Our client is a substantial and progressive organisation who is looking to strengthen their litigation team with a Litigation Executive. An excellent opportunity for an individual to develop within a dynamic firm that offer the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in Litigation and with a view to achieving further professional qualifications

Responsibilities:

Progress Personal Injury cases in a timely manner
To be capable of successfully handling a mixed caseload of Fastrack and Multi-track claims
Committed to developing a role as a litigator with the desire to develop skills and knowledge in this area
Dealing with High caseloads of Personal Injury RTA cases
Confident in undertaking Court hearings and to be competent in core legal skills including drafting, negotiation and advocacy
In the region of 150 - 200 cases
Preparing documents accurately and in a timely manner and in accordance with SLAs

Skills:

To be able to litigate between 40 - 60% of caseload successfully
Ability to draft Court documents with minimal supervision
Ability to hit revenue and cash targets of approximately £200k per annum
Some knowledge of Employers' or Public Liability claims desirable
More complex injuries and higher value claims
Mostly working to a set of annual targets through performance reviewed
Awareness of preparation of cases for litigation through to possible trial
Good confident telephone manner
Good communicator in both written and spoken English
Clear understanding of customer requirements and a commitment to customer service
Must be computer literate with experience of use of a case management system desirable
Must have a willingness to acquire new skills and to develop litigation knowledge
Ability to confidently manage clients' expectations of increasing importance where cases may be more protracted in achieving settlement
