A fast growing MGA in the Birmingham area is looking for a Commercial Underwriter with a background dealing with Commercial Combined, Package and Property insurance policies. The ideal candidate will be able to competently underwrite all new and renewal business and positively contribute to profit and business mix objectives through negotiation with brokers.
Responsibilities
To underwrite Commercial Combined, Package and Property insurance policies
To deliver and negotiate favourable terms with brokers as appropriate
To deliver superior service to brokers and customers including MTA's
To produce and issue policy documentation on bound business
To contribute to and then exceed the planned financial and non-financial KPI's for the underwriting area of the business
Skills
Proven ability to Underwrite New Business policies
Demonstrable underwriting experience
Proven experience of working within a insurance role with negotiation responsibility
