This is an excellent chance to join the centralised operation of a national IFA company. Your role will be Paraplanning and client servicing, looking after both Clients and IFA's nationwide. You must be a keen team player willing to come on board with this major institution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To Review Private Client Fact-finds and all Client Meeting Notes against a defined Compliance approved Fact-find checklist to make sure ALL aspects of the client financial needs are clearly documented
You will be responsible for discussing this with the Consultant where appropriate to enable them to research suitable whole of market advice based on the information provided
Using research tools to ensure independent/whole of market/holistic advice is provided to the client in line as requested by the Consultant
Liaise with consultants for additional information to support the recommendations for the clients, with the ability to discuss requirements to enable the paraplanning activities are performed in a timely and quality manner
To prepare draft suitability reports within an agreed timescale for the client based on the information received, for final approval by the consultant, using technical knowledge and experience plus compliance approved templates and soft facts including justification for advice
To work as a team
To Mentor others in specialised areas where requested
To Contribute to change management initiatives affecting the immediate role to constantly improve and influence efficiencies both in and outside of the team
To Maintain management information to track activity for both themselves and consultants
Skills and Responsibilities:
Full Certificate in Financial Planning essential and working towards FP Diploma is desirable
Excellent analytical and evaluation skills
Good IT skills
Organising & Planning
Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
Strong analytical skills
Practical knowledge of financial planning, pensions, investments, mortgages, wealth, management, life assurance, tax matters and corporate financial advice
Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word
Previous paraplanning experience essential (ideally 5 years)
Previous experience in a IFA firm is essential
Previous experience in working within a sales-oriented team with interest in researching and analysing information is essential.
