This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Banking Institution that offers progressive career development. The purpose of the role is to develop your skills and competencies, enabling you to progress to a Senior Financial Planning Manager (FPM) position within 2 years. During this time, you will provide financial planning services to both new and existing customers by identifying customer needs, and selling products and services to meet those needs.
Duties / Responsibilities:
To provide financial advice to new and existing customers, paying particular attention to the mortgage, protection and general insurance products available through the bank's UK branch network
To help resolve queries from management, staff and customers
To have all sales authorised in accordance with the appropriate stage of development
To proactively complete Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and coaching and development action plans developed and agreed with the FPSM and/or RFPM, to meet and maintain compliance and Professional Standards
To enhance and protect the reputation of the company in the community
To continually consider the FSA's principle of 'Treating Customers Fairly' (TCF)
Offers support and helps branch colleagues in the achievement of their goals in order to foster good working relationships, adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls
Skills / Qualifications:
The ability to plan and prioritises time effectively and strategically by maximising time spent researching customers, prospecting, customer appointments and building long term relations with customers
Have a clear knowledge of, and keeps up to date with, internal products and systems and competitor products and campaigns
Be able to build and inspire trust with customers by uncovering key needs and matching knowledge and products to meet these needs
Be able to communicate clearly and confidently with customers to ensure understanding of what is being offered, why, and how they can benefit
