Senior Market Underwriter - Casualty and Property
Location: Bristol
Salary: £40,000 (+ Bonus)
The opportunity for a Senior Market Underwriter has arisen within a large insurer based in Bristol. This role will offer the right candidate the chance to develop and progress their career. You will be given the authority and autonomy to develop new business as well as contribute to retaining existing business using your market expertise.
Responsibilities
Provide both new business and renewal underwriting expertise
A trading focus on new business where you will provide leadership and guidance to the existing underwriting team
Underwrite and negotiate business within authority limits
Implement underwriting policy within areas of specialism
Build relationships with brokers and customers
Liaise with Account Executives to identify and maximise business opportunities
Skills
Previous experience within a commercial underwriting capacity with extensive Property and Casualty line of business exposure
A strong trading focus and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload
Will have started or be progressing towards CII
